Tour your own backyard you maybe surprised

The best holiday ever !!
In April I decided to take a break. So I toured the North Island with a friend. We travelled to places like Gisborne, Mt Maunganui, The Coromandel, Cathedral Cove, Rotorua, Taupo and National Park. We had a very momorable travel experience through places I didn't know existed. Me being a New Zealander, born and bred...have travelled to the Western World hadn't even seen my own country.... Travelling through the Northern part of NZ with my friend from another country was more of an adrenalin rush for me then it was for him. Scenic drives and walks were breathtaking. These are my 2 favorite pictures. Mt Ruapehu and the sun setting at Lake Taupo. Untouched Eden I live in.

I wonder sometimes how lucky I am to belong to a geographical isolated paradise.
