"HAPPY B'DAY XIOMING NING NONG"

OMG Cat how old are you ?? Like ummm forty something.....teehee....

I remember the first time I met you, you were so insistant in moving into my flat, that I really had no choice but to accept you. Man you were so pushy....I thought how can I not say no to this person and well Cam and I were going on a holiday and I needed someone in there ASAP, and you were it. Since you've been with me it has been a great pleasure having you as my, not only my flatmate, but a really good friend....and chef....hehehe. Your english is getting better and your maori, ummm lets not go there......the word "bloody" comes to mind, cos I've never heard a Chinese person, say the word so many times in one sentence, and don't you dare blame that on me....hahaha.

Anyway Xioming (Grace) have a wonderful, wonderful, b'day and I hope it will be as special as any other !!

Hugs

The Moon Festival

Yesterday 6th October was the Chinese Moon Festival, to celebrate this auspicious occasion, my flat mate Xioming and I went to dinner with a few other friends of hers. The food was like something I'd never ever seen nor eaten before. 2 entree's, 5 mains and 2 desserts. Duck, Pork, Fish, Crab...what a combination. Absolutely devine. Oh but my favorite was the Rice ball cooked in Crisanthinom soup, that was the dessert. WOW !! When I first saw it, it was like what on earth is this...!! OMG it was devine !! The alcohol, was at 56%, now where can u find alcohol at 56% OMG......I for one couldn't handle it...I took one sip of it and wham....that was me....teehee !! I stopped at that cos someone had to drive home. After that amazing feast we went to Seatoun, where another friend of Xiomings was cooking a cake...made by her Italian fiancee, the house was amazing, b'ful home with an outside pool. Xioming and I were invited to a bbq...arrrggg more food....arrrr well, it was an absolutely amazing evening and the moon was as round as could be....... Very good sign indeed !! Totally enjoyed myself, thanx guyz !!

This is one in a million - Dates huh - LMAO !!!

Worst first date If you didn't see this on the Tonight show, I hope you're sitting down when you read it. This is probably the funniest date story ever, first date or not!!! We have all had bad dates... but this takes the cake. On the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Jay went into the audience to find the most embarrassing first date that a woman ever had. The winner described her worst first date experience. There was absolutely no question as to why her tale took the prize! She said it was midwinter... snowing and quite cold... and the guy met her skiing in the mountains outside Salt Lake City, Utah. It was a day trip ( no overnight). They were strangers, after all, and truly had never met before. The outing was fun but relatively uneventful until they were headed home late that afternoon. They were driving back down the mountain, when she gradually began to realize that she should not have had that extra latte. They were about hour away from anywhere with a rest room and in the middle ! of no where. Her companion suggested she try to hold it, which she did for a while Unfortunately, because of the heavy snow and slow going, there came a point where she told him that he had better stop and let her go beside the road, or it would be the front seat of his car. They stopped and she quickly crawled out beside the car, yanked her pants down and started. In the deep snow she didn't have good footing, so she let her butt rest against the rear fender to steady herself. Her companion stood on the side of the car watching for traffic and indeed was a real gentleman and refrained from peeking! All she could think about was the relief she felt despite the rather embarrassing nature of the situation. Upon finishing however, she soon became aware of another sensation. As she bent to pull up her pants, the young lady discovered her buttocks were firmly glued against the car's fender. Thoughts of tongues frozen to pump handles immediately came to mind as she attempted to disengage her flesh from the icy metal. It was quickly apparent that she had a brand new problem due to the extreme cold. Horrified by her plight and yet aware of the humor of the moment, she answered her date's concerns about what is taking so long with a reply that indeed, she was freezing her butt off and in need of some assistance! He came around the car as she tried to cover herself with her sweater. Then, as she looked imploringly into his eyes, he burst out laughing. She too, got the giggles and when they finally managed to compose themselves, they assessed her dilemma. Obviously, as hysterical as the situation was, they also were faced with a real problem. Both agreed it would take something hot to free her chilly cheeks from the grip of the icy metal! Thinking about what had gotten her into the predicament in the first place, both quickly realized that there was only one way to get her free So, as she looked the other way, her first-time date proceeded to unzip his pants and pee her butt off the fender. As the audience screamed in laughter, she took the Tonight Show prize hands down... or perhaps that should be pants down. ...And you thought your first date was embarrassing. Jay Leno's comment... This gives a whole new meaning to being pissed off.

Back to Work........arrrrgggggg !!

Well I'm back to work tomorrow, after 3 weeks off, soooooo not looking forward to it !! Thats life... Anyway here's a joke to get me back in the working mode.....

An office manager had money problems & had to fire an employee, either Jack or Jill... He thought he'd fire the employee who came late to work the next morning. Well, both employees came to work very early. Then the manager thought he would catch the first one who took a coffee break. Unfortunately, neither employee took a coffee break. Then the manager decided to see who took the longest lunch break - strangely, neither Jack nor Jill took a lunch break that day, they both ate at their desk. Then the manager thought he'd wait & see who would leave work the earliest and both employees stayed after closing. Jill finally went to the coat rack & the manager went up to her & said, "Jill, I have a terrible problem. I don't know whether to lay you or Jack off." Jill said, "Well, you'd better jack off, because I'm late for my bus."

Yea now thats funny !!! Ok now I'm ready for work.........NOT !!

U gotta luv em....

These guyz helped me get thru a very emotional time of my trip....a few days before I left Europe. They are the most wonderful, warm hearted trio any waman in my position could have at that very moment.
Graeme....such a comedian and taught me not to take life too seriously. Enjoy the moments u have with friends and in relationships as they are a foundation for your future....."Luv ya G"
Dave G....such a ladies man, very handsome and sweet !! Settled down too early with a wife and 2 kids, is now devorced and at the age of 29 is now exploring the world and women. This man sat and listened to me pour my heart out to him. "Luv u to DG" and have a safe trip home to NZ to see ur kids...Hugs xx
Podge (DH)....He is my best friend in the world. I've known this guy for over 18yrs. We have fought, we have loved, we have lost loved ones, we have argued, we have cried on each others shoulders....he is my pillar of strength. My love for this man is beyond any love I could ever explain....not an intimate love, but a love that will alwayz be treasured in my heart..."luv u Podge and all the best in ur journey to seek the answers ur looking for".....

Photo's I took north of Glasgow

My friend Campbell took me for a ride in the country to relax as my mind was on Jen. The weather was horrible when we left for the country, then as if the gods answered my thoughts, the sun crept out behind the clouds and left a wonderful path of warmth for us.

My Trip to Europe

Well my trip to Europe was a last minute decision. I went to visit my friend in London, unbeknowen to her I was going to be there for her. It was a trip I won't ever forget as it ended our friendship. I had so many good intensions and it turned into a real sad ending. I guess I didn't really know my best friend in the world until now, knowing a woman for 14yrs and 10yrs of those yrs spent in London. I needed to be there for her as she was going thru a bad time, but I guess I made the wrong decision. I would drop everything to be there for my friends and now I wish I hadn't gone....I ruined our long time friendship of 14yrs by going to her. I wish I had made a difference in her life, but I made things worse. I constantly go over in my mind, if I hadn't gone, we'd still be best friends, or maybe I did make a difference in her life and maybe she took heed of my words, I will never know as I left London not talking to her. I blame myself for what has happened, I approached the situation not knowing what I was getting into....hey what do I know, I'm no social worker or psychologist, just a friend, well I thought, who needed me and I guess she didn't. I owe her so much !! She had gone out of her way to encourage me to meet friends over there and all I wanted was to be with her. We travelled to see my son in Cheshire and I can't thank her enuf for organising that, then we drove thru to Glasgow to meet a friend that was here in NZ earlier this year, someone that means the world to me and is very special to me. I will never forget what she did to make this happen.... !!! But that was not my purpose to go to London, my soul purpose was to be there for her and it turned out she was there for me !! How is that fair...it isn't fair !! If I could turn the clock back I would, and change what has happened and make it right......for what its worth Jen, I pray you find the help u need to continue ur life on this earth and not end it at such a young age. You are young and have the world at ur feet !! When u are ready I'll alwayz be here for u !!

My sisters trip to the USA...

Welcome home sister...
Her first trip overseas and she ended up in a hospital bed in Chicago. Dang woman, can't keep her away from a hospital. She works in the Emergency Department as a Health Consultant....Thats her the one thats poking her tongue out, commonly known as a "pukana", used to scare the enemy, gosh can you imagine a bunch of Maori warriors doing the Pukana scarying the beegeezus outta of you, if you've watched the A'B's do the haka before they play rugby, a lot of them do a pukana, what they're really saying is, "I dare you to come challenge us, we're going to eat you alive".....hmmm don't go threre....
My sister is one in a million....she has a great personality and everyone just adores her...I have to come back here and finish this off........to be continued..... :-) Well I knew I had something to get back to.....Yes well her and her friends spent 5 weeks in Chicago, NYC, LA and over to Montreal in Canada. She said the Americans in Chicago, were the most wonderful caring people....I've been to Chicago and I can honestly say, that is one of my favorite places I would really like to go back and visit. NYC, well we are from a wee country and the population of NYC is the population of NZ but packed all into one place. Well it was far to extreme for those kiwi's. LA, totally enjoyed the tourisy side of the visit there, Disney Land, LAX, Hollywood etc and Montreal of all the places to go, meaning the language....but all in all they had the most amazing time.....Well sister, this is the first trip of many. My next holiday is to China with my flatmate...I so want to go there.... !!!

Is this what I look for in a man?

Man are strange creatures; all over you like body spray one minute, ignoring you the next. If only they were always so clear in communicating their feelings. So - you really, really, like him. Oh okay, let's face it: Does he feel the same? Here are some signs that he does:
He opens up to you
Men find talking about their feelings notoriously difficult - sharing them with you is a big deal. 'Being able to open up and tell you about himself is a key quality to look for in a man. 'I don't mean blabbing about his work and all that stuff, but deeper issues; how he feels about his mum, what major things have happened in his life. All these details are clues to him.' If your man is inviting you under his skin, then there is genuine interest there. Putting his trust in you takes relationship to another level.

'When he takes you as you are, and is happy with the fact that you're not always going to be this gorgeous lip-glossed creature it shows a sign of emotional maturity and an emotional commitment,'
He supports you
A man who's there through thick and thin is without a doubt a man who really cares for you. If he's as ready to uncork the bubbly when you've had good news as he is to hug you when you're down, then the message is clear: he's serious about you. He has your happiness at heart.

So where is this man..........

Taonga - Meanings

I wear a bone carving given to me by my best friend Jayne at my 30th b'day. It represents the mythical beings of the same name. Its called a Manaia. It is considered guardians against evil. As you wear it, the milky white colour disappears and the oils from your body soaks into the peice. It becomes a part of you taking in some of your spirituality or essence and thus truly becoming a part of you. If it is worn with respect or given and received with love, it takes on part of the spirit of those who have it. In this way it becomes a spiritual link between that who gave it to you and the one who wears it. I have given away a couple of Taonga (treasures from the heart) to friends that will always be apart of my life. One is the fish (na ika) The ocean has always been a dominant force for the Maori people who travel long distances. They have great respect for the creatures on this earth. The whale were treasured as gifts from the gods. With its great size and obvious intelligence played an impact part of the Maori people. It is a symbol of harmony and friendship. It also represents the guardian of those that travel afar.

B'day Blues and Surprises

Well it was my b'day last week and the day my son and grandson left for the UK. Those that have kept up with this blog will know that, that day was not going to be a day I was looking forward to. But I got thru it and it turned out that it ended pretty nice. I didn't want to know I was turning another year older. I think we all tend to wish that it would disappear quickly.
Anyway the morning was lovely, the day was b'ful and the ocean view from my window put a calming affect over me. I knew what was in store for me and for a moment I forgot about the following events that was to happen later in the day.
I went down to the house to spend the last few hours with my grandson, cuddled and hugged him for a while. Thinking this could be the last time for a few years so treasured the time I had with him. A tear rolled down my cheek and onto his.....its a love that I can't explain.....My heart just so full of him...more tears !! His mum and my son, surprised me with a b'ful framed photo of him. "Happy B'day mum", more hugs and kisses...WOW !! As I saw my son leave with his son and partner, I smiled. Altho deeply, deeply sadened by it all, I still managed to smile !!
I went home and watched the plane fly out. I hugged the framed photo of my grandson and made a space on my bedroom wall for the picture. I opened the mail and the parcel I recieved at my doorstep. A couple of bills and a few b'day cards. The parcel was 2 bottles of pinot noir from an admirer. That was great !! But this was the biggest surprise of the day, it really made my b'day a wonderful ending to an emotional one. I left the house and jumped on the cable car. I could see at the bottom of the hill, a man standing with a surf board. I wondered why he was staring up at me. Reached the bottom and he asked if I was in flat 1, I replied in saying yes I was. He then pulled his other arm out behind his back, and gave me a half a dozen roses....OMG, I said, those for me, he said if your Nat, they certainly are...Well I said, aren't those gorgeous, I don't even know you and your showering me with roses....I said its my b'day, he handed me the roses and started singing happy b'day to me....I laughed, he said they were delivered to the wrong address, with that he ran over to the beach. Honestly the day ended superbly !! But that wasn't the end of that, my ex flatemate came over later in the evening, with her veletto and we had a few sips, no, glasses, no, no, the carton of red (that was suggested by a very close friend) to finish off a lovely day. The aroma of those roses fills my room with an amazing scent !! Thanx so much for the roses !!

7 Rules when dating my daughter

Rule One: I am aware that it is considered fashionable for boys of your age to wear their trousers so loosely that they appear to be falling off your hips. Please don't take this as an insult, but you and all of your friends are idiots. Still, I want to be fair. You may come to the door with your underwear showing and your pants 10 sizes too big, and I will not object. However, to ensure that your pants do not, in fact, come off during the course of your date with my daughter I will take my electric nail gun and fasten your trousers securely in place at your waist.
Rule Two: I'm sure that you have been told that in today's world sex without a barrier can be deadly. Let me elaborate: When it comes to sex, I am the barrier and I will kill you.
Rule Three: I have no doubt the you are a popular fellow, with many opportunities to date other girls. This is fine with me as long as it is okay with my daughter. Otherwise, once you have gone out with my daughter, you will continue to date no one but her until she is through with you. If you make her cry, I will make you cry.
Rule Four: As you stand in my front hallway, waiting for my daughter to appear, and more than an hour goes by, do not fidget and complain. If you want to be on time for the movie, you should not be dating. My daughter is putting on her makeup -- a process that can take longer than painting the Golden Gate Bridge. Instead of just standing there why don't you do something useful, like change the oil in my car?
Rule Five: The following places are not approporiate for a date with my daughter: Places where there are sofas, beds or anything softer than a wooden stool or folding chair; places where there are no parents, policemen, or nuns within eyesight; places where there is darkness; places where the ambient temperature would induce my daughter to wear shorts, tank tops, midriff T-shirts or anything other than overalls, a sweater and a goose down parka, zipped up to her chin. Movies with a strong romantic or sexual theme are to be avoided; movies which feature chain saws are okay. Hockey games are okay. Old folks homes are better.
Rule 6: Do not lie to me. I may appear to be a potbellied, middle-aged, dimwitted has-been, but on issues relating to my daughter, I am the all-knowing, merciless God of your universe. If I ask you where you are going and with whom, you have one chance to tell me the truth. I have a shotgun, a shovel and five acres behind the house. Do not trifle with me.
Rule 7: Be careful, be very careful. It takes very little for me to mistake the sound of your car in the driveway for a chopper coming in over a rice paddy near Hanoi. When the flashbacks start, the voices in my head frequently tell me to clean my guns as I sit at home waiting for you to bring my daughter home. As soon as you pull into the driveway, you should exit your car, with both hands in plain sight. Speak the perimeter password, announce in a clear voice that you have brought my daughter home safetly and early, then return to your car. There is no need for you to come inside. The camoflauged face in the window is mine.

The Day is here...

Well off to the airport again today to see my son and grandson to Liverpool. My eldest son brought up with his nanny and papa in a very small rural area in the middle of the North Island. Over the last few days we have been reminising about those times, a few laughs and lots of tears. A couple weeks ago we travelled back to the country. Its a Maori tradition to take the placenta home. My son buried the placenta on top of my mum and dad who passed away quite a few years ago. We do this as a ritural, so that one day Tamati will know, in his heart and his blood, thats where his dad and great grandparents are from and there will alwayz be that desire to return home. I am so proud of my son for making such a difficult decision to proceed with his plans. It wasn't an easy decision for him to make as he has always been around family.

Kia Kaha mo matou tinana tamaiti. Me te aroha korua. Aroha-tino-nui mum.

(Be strong son. Love to you both, all my love mum)

My grandson Tamati is now 2 months old. Its not easy for me to say goodbye as Tamati being my first grandchild and the first great grandchild. My b'ful grandson, you will always be the light in all our hearts back home here in New Zealand. Our prayers and blessings go with you both as you travel to new and wonderous adventures.

Lots of hugs sweetheart !!

To Date:

I've been having pretty much an up and down emotional roller coaster ride over the last few months. Its been fun...well no it hasn't so I've put all my positive energies into my blog....anyway reading my star sign this morning. Well heres what it ses. Sometimes I despise being born a Leo....We must have the worse attitude out of all the star signs. Gawd...I'm feeling sorry for myself, but apparently thats what we do, so I won't feel sorry for myself, I'm a very strong willed person, thats what we are, so I'm not gonna be strong willed but strong within myself to get over the turmoils I'm having at this moment. Anyway read this and it was something nice, that made me look at things in a positive light....

You have really done your best at sorting out a particular issue and still there seems to be others who just cannot be satisfied. This month leave well alone what is now out of your sphere of influence; Saturn's connections to your sign have been tough going and you could really do with a little light relief, which is finally coming your way. Yes, you could be making life changing decisions this month, but chances are they are the right ones. You have known it in your heart for long enough - now is the time to tell the world.

I do believe I'm gonna be ok !!

I'm a Sex Goddess...WooHoo !!

A friend of mine sent this questionair and it involved doing these little tests. For example, What kind of Kisser are you? Another one was What type of Lover are you? It was quite amazing actually....Anyway I'm suppose to be a 'Playful Kisser' hahaha thats about sums me up on the kissing catagory. The other is and I couldn't believe it but read this....I think its hilarious but TRUE: !!!!
A brilliant bolt of lightning descends! SHAZAAM! The oracle has spoken! The smoke clears to reveal that inside you is a divine being, Persephone, Goddess of the Night, a woman in touch with her deepest inner desires. As the most sexual of all the female deities, you are very comfortable in the bedroom. Your skill at pleasing a man is unmatched, and you know exactly what you need for your own pleasure. As a woman of passion, you're very comfortable with expressing your desires to anyone. You are a proud and confident woman who exudes sensuality. You cherish the intimacy of physical attraction and know what it takes to win a man. As a woman deeply in touch with your sexuality, you definitely know how to thoroughly enjoy yourself! Your polished bedroom performance always keeps them coming back for more. When everything is going right, a light shines down from the heavens. Behold, the skies proclaim, here lies a goddess !!!

Woohoo.....Oh c'mon ya gotta believe it !! Its absolutely true !!! ET !!

Quote : Friends

William Shakespare wrote:

A friend is one that knows you as you are, understands where you have been, accepts what you have become, and still, gently allows you to grow.

He was considered one of the worlds most famous writers in world literature.

I guess you're wondering what on earth am I doing writing quotations from the infamous William Shakespare. I am such a fan of his literature. Every now and then I like to read some of them, it helps me to relax and take my mind of other things that constantly plague me. Wonderful and spectacular mind he had.
